Game Highlights:First Period -Just a little over two minutes into tonight matchup the Blues were on the board. David Perron scored his eighth goal of the year on the power play . The Blues brought the puck into the zone. There was a scrum for the puck. Ryan Oeilly collected the puck and passed it to Perron. Perron skated a second, and then fired a rocket into the back of the net. That the Blues fourth goal in a row on the power play going back the game in Anaheim. The Blues led 1-0 after one despite being out shot 12-6. Second Period -Jeff Carter tied the game with a backhand shot in front of the net. The Blues had two guys going for the puck at the same time. Well that left Carter wide open to take a pass and skate right in and score. Not great Bob. Shots in the second period were 8-5 in favor of the Kings. Third Period - The Kings took the lead just moments into the third. Noted counter to potato Dustin Brown scored off of Justin Faulk skate. . . Also gotta ask, does the Kings horn get paid by the note or whatThe Blues second goal of the night comes with just 44 seconds to go. With Ville Husso sitting on the bench Perron launched his second piss rocket of the night. First, big effort from Mike Hoffman to win the puck from two Kings trying to get at the empty net. Then, Perron skated back into the zone. Perron looked like he fanned on a pass. He then pretty much said screw it, Il do it myself, and he did. Only maybe it was in French. I don know. I do know the Blues tied yet another game with the goalie pulled . What a difference a year makes. So the Blues do some hard work at the end of this one to earn the point. Overtime -Mike Hoffman won this one for the Blues in OT. The Blues were up a man as Torey Krug skated the puck into the zone. Krug Oeilly and Hoffman didn even need the extra man. They passed the puck around for a minute, and then Hoffman ended it with the reason the Blues signed the guy in the first place. That huge cannon of a one timer. Blues win 3-2 in OT. Despite only scoring on one of the three chances tonight, the power play looked just as good as it has the last few nights. The Blues were outshot in this game 30-22.
